The Joys of Writing xo

meI started my blog last fall and until now I didn’t really know how to build a following. I still don’t even know half of the functions on WordPress. I just began writing some stuff that interested me in hopes that my message of love and inspiration would reach some fellow writers and maybe I might get a few likes here and there. Now, after almost a year I’ve realised one very important thing:

It doesn’t matter how many likes or followers I get… what matters is my love of writing ❤

I have noticed that most of my face book friends don’t usually read my blog. YOU read my blog and that’s what makes connecting with bloggers so much fun! You may not know who I am on a personal basis, but you read my words and get a small glimpse into my writing journey. You know me for my most important quality: my hopes and dreams for the future. I am a dreamer.

I am on a journey that was meant to be ever since I was a little kid and you get to follow me through the joys and wonders of my writing.

I’ve been constantly posting links to my blog through my face book page and inviting people to join. I have personally asked friends and family members to follow and see what I’ve been up to. But, all of my followers on my blog are complete strangers. I don’t know anyone personally and I may never even know what you look like… and that doesn’t matter.

YOU MATTER! 🙂

The most crucial thing about this whole experience is to enjoy what I am doing. After years of not writing anything… I am finally writing again AND LOVING IT!! Having a blog is so wonderful and I’m very much loving every minute of it. Reading what others have to say and following their journey as well as sharing my own… it’s fascinating.

Writing is a part of me! And I thank all of you for following 🙂

The right people will follow and encourage me if I just stick with this feeling of love. My love for writing ❤ It is an honor to share my thoughts and feelings with those on a similar path and that is all that matters in the end.

And so I leave you with some inspirational quotes from the great Robin Williams xo may he R.I.P.

From Dead Poets Society:

John Keating: “We don’t read and write poetry because it’s cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, “O me! O life!… of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless… of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?” Answer. That you are here – that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. That the powerful play *goes on* and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?”

“No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world.”

“Boys, you must strive to find your own voice. Because the longer you wait to begin, the less likely you are to find it at all. Thoreau said, “Most men lead lives of quiet desperation.” Don’t be resigned to that. Break out!’
