Here is my plan…

~LISTEN UP!~  what has the world come to?CHANGE

It seems that with each scientific breakthrough… everything just gets more confused!

As a whole society what are we to do?

~WHY?~  is there so much madness?? Is there any end to this detrimental sadness??

Well I… I think I have a plan… and it’s gonna consist of every woman and man.Lisa and me!

~WELL!~  there’s one key element you’ve got to know!

It’s absolutely vital for all of us to grow!

You’re probably thinkin this plan isn’t work… but I’ll tell you right now DON’T BE ONE OF THOSE JERKS!

Cuz all it is… is a shift in thought.

Somethin so simple that we’ve ALL been taught!

So I’m gonna say now to every boy and girl…

All we gotta do is CHANGE THE WORLD!!

~Just stop!~ stop whatever you’re doin!

I might sound like I’ve got the crazies a brewin…

and YES I just might be crazy… but what you have to know is we’ll be pushin up daisies…

if we don’t change something real fast!

I’ll tell ya right now we won’t survive the BLAST! ~NO!!~

No I don’t know why some people still don’t see ~NO!~ Nobody has to live in this poverty!!

Well I… I really don’t know why we only JUST get by

…working like the bees for the honey.

Well I am waiting for the day when all the kids can say,

“We don’t have to pay… for college!”

I am waiting for the day when Mom and Dad can say,

“We don’t have to pay… for the house anymore!”

Starbucks, why do I want to drink you every day?

MONEY! money

Well I… I don’t know what to do

… my finances are screwed

I like Scooby doobies and I like to boogie!

Well I, don’t want to pay these bills

I just want life long thrills.

But I think I’ve got the swine flooooo AND BOOP BOOPY DOO! AH CHOOOOOOOOO!!!betty boop

Well I am waiting for the day when all the kids can say,

“We don’t have to pay… for college!”

I am waiting for the day when ALL OF US CAN SAY:

“No we don’t have to pay… for all these things… anymore…”

Memories filled my mind as I remembered being on stage at an open mic night singing in front of an audience. Eyes were all on me. Then, I pictured her face. It was a beautiful memory… and finally the soft lyrics slowly escaped my lips:

poetry in my head~The poetry in my head~ By: Tanya Brooks

Here we are hand in hand; we dig our feet into the sand.

We earn to live and live to earn, so our glorious lives can take the right turn.

But in my head a verse repeats about the cattle and the herding sheep

About the children who have to starve and the soldiers whose minds are continuously carved…

Into the night they march and scream

While our rivers are poisoned just like our oceans and streams.

The tears are there and the good, we cry…

And all the while chemtrails line the sky.

12 year olds in mini shirts… kids with guns who want to hurt.

I think of those who are suffering… oh wait, Netflix is buffering!

Cell phones, ringtones and the newest things,

Millionaires and diamond rings.

The innocent and the systems unjust,

And what… in the government we’re supposed to trust?

An empty space where a man once stood… we can’t be homeless

*Knock on wood*

But it’s not too late, we can change the world!

Let us come together for those young boys and girls

All we have to do is change our plan,

The way of life… the way of man.

Rainbow warriors unite to make a stand!! Here we are still hand in hand
